Gowly Group Leads Desert Greening Initiative in Tengger Desert, Integrating Eco-Spirit into Sustainable Product Development
Lanzhou, Minqin County, Gansu Province— In alignment with China’s ecological civilization vision and the guiding principle that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," Gowly Group, a global leader in concealed cisterns and sanitary ware manufacturing, organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign in the Tengger Desert of Minqin County on March 12, 2025. Over 150 employees participated in planting Haloxylon ammodendron(saxaul trees), a drought-resistant species critical for desertification control, demonstrating the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
Activity Highlights: Turning the Desert into a Green Oasis
1. Combating Desertification with Collective Action
Gowly volunteers, equipped with shovels and saplings, collaborated with local ecological experts to plant over 2,000 saxaul trees across 10 acres of arid land. These trees, known for their deep root systems, effectively stabilize sand dunes and restore soil fertility.
The initiative directly supports China’s "Green Great Wall" project, aiming to halt desert expansion in northwestern regions.
